- Alexander Tate temporarily loses his eyesight when thrown from his horse. Cared for by the charming Steele sisters, he grows especially fond of Cassandra, who reads to him each day. But Cassandra fears that Alexander will not love her when he regains his sight. Only by trusting God's plan can the pair find happiness
